(ii) Must have cleared NET conducted by UGC or CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. Candidates awarded Ph.D. Degree as per UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 are exempted from NET/SLET/SET. Ph.D. candidates registered prior to July 11, 2009, governed by then-existing Ordinances/Regulations, are also exempted subject to specified conditions. As per UGC Notification dated 30th June 2023, NET/SET/SLET shall be the minimum criteria for direct recruitment to Assistant Professor for all Higher Education Institutions. |
