The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the official notification for Combined Medical Services (CMS) Recruitment 2026. Through this recruitment drive, UPSC aims to fill various Medical Officer posts in different government departments.
Candidates who have completed MBBS or are appearing in the final MBBS examination are eligible to apply for this recruitment. A total of 1358 vacancies have been announced. Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must possess an MBBS degree from a recognized university.
- Applicants who have passed the written and practical parts of the final MBBS examination are eligible to apply.
- Candidates who are appearing in the final MBBS examination may also apply, but they must complete their internship before the appointment.

Salary
Selected candidates will receive a salary according to Pay Level-10 of the Pay Matrix.
- Basic Pay: ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500 per month
