Eligibility Criteria
- Jr. Overman, T&S Gr-C: Diploma (3 years) or Degree in Mining Engineering from a recognized institute + Valid Overman Competency Certificate + First Aid & Gas Testing certificates.
- Mining Sirdar, T&S Gr-C: 10+2 or Diploma/Degree in Mining Engineering + Valid Mining Sirdarship Certificate + First Aid & Gas Testing certificates.
- Surveyor, T&S Gr-B: 10+2 or relevant diploma/degree + Valid Survey Certificate of Competency.
- Translator (Tr.) OL Clerical Gr. III: B.A. with Hindi & English (Government diploma in Hindi Translation preferred).
- Technician (Pathology) Tr. T&S Gr-C: Diploma in Pathology from a recognized institute.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 30 years (General/EWS) as on 06/04/2026.
- Age relaxation applicable as per government norms for OBC(NCL), SC/ST, Ex-Servicemen & PwBD candidates.
- Departmental candidates (employees of CIL & subsidiaries) have no upper age limit.

MCL Recruitment 2026-Application Fee

Selected candidates will be appointed on NCWA-XI (National Coal Wage Agreement) salary structure:
- Jr. Overman & Mining Sirdar: Basic Pay approx ₹47,330.25 per month.
- Surveyor: Basic Pay approx ₹51,103.12 per month.
- Translator (OL): Basic Pay approx ₹41,966.51 per month.
- Technician (Pathology): Basic Pay approx ₹47,330.25 per month.
- Additional allowances & benefits as per Company rules and NCWA-XI.

MCL Recruitment 2026-Selection Process
- The selection will be based on a Computer Based Test (CBT) only; no interview.
- The CBT will have two sections:
- Section A: General Awareness & Aptitude – 20 questions
- Section B: Technical Knowledge – 80 questions
- Total marks: 100 (No negative marking).
- Qualifying marks: 45% (General/EWS), 40% (OBC-NCL), 35% (SC/ST).
- Candidates will be shortlisted in a 1:3 ratio for document verification based on merit.
- Final appointment will be issued after document verification, merit list & initial medical examination.
